Justin Masterson was more then good in his major league debut today as for most of the day it looked like he would lead the Red Sox to a win.
Masterson left after six innings having allowed one run on two hits. The Angels didn't waste any time in reversing the game as they took the lead before recording an out in the seventh inning.
The Red Sox squandered scoring opportunities and managed to make the score closer on David Ortiz's ninth inning two-run homer.
The Sox dropped two of three games in the series and head to Tampa Bay for a three game set.
