Roger Clemens may have more problems on his hands these days.
The New York Daily News reports that Clemens has had a 10-year romance with country singer Mindy McCready.
What could cause Clemens problems here is that the Daily News says the romance began when Clemens was 28, that would be way back in 1990. A quick look of McCreadys bio will then show she was just 15 in 1990.
Clemens' lawyer Rusty Hardin confirms the relationship but denies it was of a sexual nature.
"He flatly denies having had any kind of an inappropriate relationship with her," Hardin said. "He's considered her a close family friend. ... He has never had a sexual relationship with her."
McCready's lawyer, Lee Ofman, said he did not have any comment on the Daily News story.
The Daily News says during the long relationship Clemens would send McCready large sums of money and allow her and her brothers to use of a private plane.
She attended a game at Yankee Stadium on one occasion and the pair have traveled together.
On February 13 of this year while appearing before Congress, Clemens told members his family has been vital to him during his career.
"Anyone who has spent time around me knows that my family is and has always been my top priority," it said in a portion of the opening statement he delivered. "My wife, Debbie, and my sons -- Koby, Kory, Kacy and Kody -- mean more to me than anything in the world."
